Our challenge

We are looking for Devops Engineer with Telemetry experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and deployment of products that help companies communicate with their customers in deep and personal ways.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.

In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Mississauga, ON is C$110K PA to C$120K PA /year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Driving the design, implementation, and operation of telemetry, alerting, monitoring, and infrastructure components.
• Deploying and managing OpenTelemetry Collectors, configuring data pipelines, and setting up exporters to backend systems.
• Building and managing infrastructure using tools like Terraform or Ansible to create consistent, reproducible environments.
• Establishing and maintaining continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure efficient software releases.
• Creating dashboards (e.g., Grafana) and defining actionable alerts for system health, latency, and error rates.
• Diagnosing high-priority production issues and performing RCA to prevent recurrence.
• Working with developers and data scientists to instrument applications and define SLIs/SLOs

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with tools like Open Telemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, or Jaeger.
• Extensive experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes (K8s).
• Strong skills in Python, Bash, Go, or Ruby.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Deep understanding of OS fundamentals, including networking and file systems.
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB), or messaging services (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).

Preferred, but not required:

• Experience with GitOps workflows.
• Experience in high-traffic or large-scale distributed systems.
• Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator).
