Our challenge

We are seeking a Business Analyst to support the Asset‑Backed Securities (ABS), Mortgage‑Backed Securities (MBS), and Credit Financing verticals, with a focus on front‑office deal management and portfolio management automation.



Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Mississauga, ON is CAD $115K - CAD$120K/year & benefits (see below)



The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Front Office, Risk, and Operations to capture requirements for deal onboarding, workflow automation, and portfolio lifecycle processes.
  • Document current‑state and target‑state processes across ABS, MBS, and structured credit financing.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technology teams.
  • Support design and enhancement of deal management tools, trade capture processes, and portfolio analytics workflows.
  • Drive automation initiatives to streamline data flows, reporting, and decision‑support functions.
  • Coordinate UAT, validate data outputs, and ensure smooth deployment of new features.
  • Maintain product backlogs, prioritize enhancements, and support roadmap planning.


Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of structured products (ABS/MBS) or credit financing.
  • Experience with front‑office workflows, trade lifecycle, or portfolio management systems.
  • Ability to write clear BRDs/FRDs, process maps, and test cases.
  • Familiarity with market data, performance/attribution concepts, and financial models.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • SQL or data‑analysis skills a plus.
  • Familiarity with Reg calcs, like SSFA / SFA etc would be added advantage


Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience working in Agile project management environments.
  • Knowledge of trading systems and platforms related to Fixed Income products.
  • Banking/ Financial domain experience.
