Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Engineering / AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy scalable cloud-first AI and data solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. This role focuses on developing machine learning pipelines, multi-agent LLM architectures, and enterprise-grade data platforms while ensuring security, scalability, and responsible AI practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud-first AI and data engineering solutions using Microsoft Azure services.
• Build and maintain machine learning pipelines using Azure Machine Learning and related SDKs.
• Develop and deploy multi-agent LLM solutions, including orchestration, tool/function calling, guardrails, and evaluators.
• Implement NLP and semantic search solutions, including embeddings, retrieval optimization, and RAG architectures.
• Design scalable data engineering workflows (ETL/ELT) and modern data architectures.
• Collaborate on data modeling, feature engineering, and production-grade AI systems.
• Ensure security, privacy, reliability, and Responsible AI best practices across solutions.
• Contribute to system design using modular, layered, and maintainable software components.
• Support deployment, upgrades, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Object-Oriented Design and Programming with Python.
• Experience implementing machine learning frameworks and libraries.
• Experience building machine learning pipelines using Azure Machine Learning service and SDK.
• Experience developing cloud-first solutions using Microsoft Azure services.
• Experience building multi-agent LLM solutions using Azure AI, Databricks, or comparable ecosystems.
• Strong NLP expertise, including text processing, embedding generation, semantic search, and retrieval optimization.
• Proficiency with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns, vector indexing, grounding strategies, and metadata-driven retrieval.
• Development experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework.
• Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS systems including scalability, high availability, concurrency, security/access control, deployment, migrations, and production support.
• Knowledge of Azure data engineering tools such as Databricks, Spark, and Azure Data Factory.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio (agent creation, orchestration, publishing, and custom skills).
• Power Platform integration experience, including custom connectors and end-to-end solution deployment.
• Strong Databricks expertise (Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, feature engineering, pipelines).
• Advanced data engineering and data modeling capabilities.
• Familiarity with Responsible AI, security, and privacy standards for enterprise AI systems.
• Ability to apply design patterns and communicate architecture decisions effectively.
• Methodical, minimalist approach to building modular and maintainable systems.
• Experience building data products and working with physical/operational data environments.
• Industry experience in Oil & Gas is a plus.
