Electromagnetic Design Specialist (Maranello)

In order to strengthen our Electric & Electronic System Team we are looking to hire an Electromagnetic Design Specialist for Electric Motor based in Maranello (Italy). In this role you will be involved in the entire development process of Ferrari Electric Motors for HEV, PHEV and BEV applications. You will be part of a team, interacting directly with the Mechanical Design Team, the Quality Dept., the Technological Dept. for the DFM (Design For Manufacturing) and industrialization and with the Testing Dept. Deep knowledge of of Electromagnetic FEM 2D and 3D for Electric Motor and Magnetic materials (hard and soft) is mandatory.

As part of the team, you will be engaged in:

•    2D and 3D Electromagnetic Simulation models
•    2D and 3D Thermal Simulation models
•    Research of new magnetic material
•    Electrical failure analysis
•    Magnetic material testing
•    Release internal and external procedure for test and supplier

In order to succeed in this challenging role, you will ideally have achieved excellent academic results with a Master-degree in Electrical/Advanced powertrain/Materials Engineering. You should ideally have gained at least 3 years’ dedicated experience in one or more of the following areas: electromagnetic and/or mechanical design of Electric Motors, Magnetic materials. 
Understanding Magnetic Materials (hard and soft) is required to manage the activities, experience of magnetic material test is a plus. 
In Ferrari you must exhibit the capability to work in a highly-dynamic and fast-changing environment, strong communication skills and accountability are important skillsets to manage activities and responsibility of the role. It is important to be proactive proposing new solutions to optimize all the processes and activities. 
Fluent English is required for the position and Italian language skills are an advantage. We appreciate individuals with experience outside their country of origin, allowing for a multicultural mindset.
