We are seeking a talented Android Mobile Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile development with a focus on Android platforms. They should be proficient in Java/Kotlin programming languages, have experience in UI programming using XML, and possess a solid understanding of mobile frameworks and integration techniques. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate the ability to integrate C++ libraries, work with APIs, and seamlessly integrate backend services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality mobile applications for Android platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Java and/or Kotlin.
• Utilize XML to design responsive and visually appealing user interfaces.
• Integrate C++ libraries into Android applications as necessary.
• Implement API and backend integrations to support application functionality.
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure application stability and performance.
• Stay updated with the latest Android technologies, trends, and best practices.
• Adhere to mobile development best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as an Android Developer with a strong portfolio of mobile applications.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin programming languages.
• Experience working with UI programming using XML.
• Proficiency in Meta's Spatial SDK, which enables developers to create immersive experiences for Meta Horizon OS using familiar Android development tools. A suitable background includes:
• Android Development Proficiency: Experience with Android Studio, Kotlin, and Java is essential, as the SDK leverages these tools and languages.
• 3D Graphics and Spatial Computing: Understanding 3D graphics, spatial computing concepts, and familiarity with tools like Unity or Unreal Engine can be beneficial.
• Virtual Reality (VR) Development: Prior experience in VR development, especially for platforms like Meta Quest, is advantageous.
• Familiarity with mobile frameworks, such as RESTful, and native SDKs.

• Ability to integrate C++ libraries, similar to MLKit or Tensorflow, and leveraging on-device camera APIs into Android applications.
• Solid understanding of API and backend integration techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of mobile development best practices and design patterns.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies is preferred.
