ALTEN Gothenburg is expanding its automotive testing team and is now looking for a skilled and motivated HIL Test Engineer with strong experience in Vector tools to join our growing organization.
You will work with leading OEMs and suppliers in advanced R&D projects, focusing on testing, verification, and validation of embedded automotive systems in HIL environments.

About the Role
As a HIL Developer with focus on Vector tools, you will play a key role in building and maintaining robust HIL test environments and automated test solutions.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Development, configuration, and setup of Vector-based HIL rigs
- Integration and maintenance of test environments
- Development and execution of automated tests
- Test automation using vTESTStudio and CAPL
- Development of test scenarios in CANoe and CANalyzer
- Model-based development using Simulink
- Verification and validation of ECUs and vehicle functions
- Troubleshooting and optimization of test systems
Who Are You?
We are looking for a technically strong, structured, and proactive engineer with a passion for testing and system development.
We believe you have:
- A BSc or MSc degree in Engineering or a related field
- Solid experience in developing and configuring Vector-based HIL rigs
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- CANoe
- CANalyzer
- vTESTStudio
- CAPL
- Simulink
- Experience working in automotive HIL environments
- Good understanding of in-vehicle networks (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet)
- Very good communication skills in English
Meritorious qualifications:
- Experience with dSPACE systems
- Background in ADAS/AD systems
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 or ASPICE
- Programming skills in Python or C/C++
