We are looking for an experienced DevOps / Operations Engineer to support a critical enterprise payment engine environment.

This is a hands-on operational role focused on deployments, configuration, monitoring, and production support — including out-of-business-hours deployment support where required.

Ideal for a pragmatic, technically strong engineer who enjoys ownership and operational responsibility in a production-critical environment.

🔎 Key Responsibilities

• Support deployments (including out-of-hours releases)
• Manage configurations and ensure platform stability
• Own and support the “run” operations of the payment engine
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues
• Monitor performance and proactively resolve incidents
• Work closely with development and infrastructure teams

🛠️ Technical Requirements

DevOps & Infrastructure

• Strong DevOps background (6–8 years’ experience)
• Solid Linux administration experience
• Troubleshooting CPU, memory and disk issues
• Experience with on-prem servers and virtual machines (VMs)
• Hands-on experience with Ansible
• Writing playbooks
• Understanding roles and module concepts

Monitoring & Observability

• Grafana
• Dashboard creation
• Alert configuration
• Prometheus
• Writing PromQL queries
• Understanding metrics flow and alerting setup

CI/CD & Azure DevOps

• Azure DevOps pipeline creation and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of artefacts and branch policies
• CI/CD implementation and optimisation experience

Scripting & Database

• Scripting knowledge (Bash and/or Python)
• Understanding of RDBMS concepts
• Indexes
• Keys
• General database fundamentals
