Job Title: Chief Technology Officer (Engineering)

Location: UAE - Fully onsite.

Our client, a leading Financial Services organisation in the UAE, is looking to add a CTO (Engineering) to lead an enterprise-wide technology transformation.

This is a Board-sponsored mandate to modernise core platforms, redefine engineering standards, and build a high-performance engineering organisation capable of supporting the next decade of growth.

You will:

• Own end-to-end SDLC, and enterprise integration across the Group
• Lead a multi-year platform modernisation (cloud-native, APIs, microservices, open architecture)
• Simplify legacy estates and reduce technical debt at scale
• Transition from vendor-heavy delivery to a strong internal engineering capability
• Build and mentor a senior engineering leadership bench
• Partner directly with executive and board stakeholders to align technology strategy with business and regulatory priorities

Non-Negotiables:

• Exceptional experience architecting and scaling digital retail ecosystems (CRM, ERP, mobile, web) within complex, integrated financial services environments
• Proven enterprise-scale SDLC leadership within financial services
• Deep experience leading large, complex platform modernisation
• Strong cloud, data and engineering transformation background
• Demonstrated track record building and scaling engineering organisations (300+ engineers)
• Executive presence with experience operating at C-suite or board level
