Job Description

The Java Developer/Solution Architect will be responsible for architecting, developing, and optimizing distributed applications within the telecommunications domain. The role involves migrating legacy systems to microservices architecture, integrating AI tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and high-quality solutions. The candidate should possess strong technical expertise in Java technologies and demonstrate leadership in implementation planning and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of an advanced order management system for mobile telecom products.
  • Drive the migration of legacy systems to a microservices architecture, enhancing scalability and reliability.
  • Integrate AI tools and intelligent agents to automate workflows and optimize order processing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and implement best practices.
  • Ensure seamless integration with existing platforms and third-party services, maintaining data integrity and security.
  • Monitor and evaluate system performance, identifying areas for improvement and leveraging emerging technologies.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in Java, J2EE, and related technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to other teams and stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications

  • UAE National
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Java Developer.
  • Java 8, J2EE, GitHub, AWS or Azure.
  • Proven hands-on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms.
  • Proficiency in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, with a deep understanding of common design patterns.
  • Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL, and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate).
  • Experience with the Spring Framework and developing web applications using popular web frameworks (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC).
  • Familiarity with test-driven development practices and experience in team leading and implementation planning.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently, as well as collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive and innovative mindset, always seeking opportunities to improve processes, enhance performance, and drive business growth.
