About The Team
The team for the Staff Consultant position is part of the Professional Services organization at Nutanix, located in Singapore This diverse and dynamic team is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions in virtualization, software-defined networking, and network security. The culture fosters collaboration, continuous learning, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, all while working towards the mission of enabling organizations to harness the full potential of their IT infrastructure. The team is passionate about driving transformation in data centers and cloud environments, ensuring that clients achieve optimal performance and security.
You will report to the Senior Manager of Professional Services, who is known for their empowering leadership style and emphasis on mentorship. The manager values open communication and encourages team members to take ownership of projects while providing guidance and support when needed. This position is hybrid, requiring you to be in the office for three days per week, allowing for collaborative onsite work while also offering flexibility for remote tasks.
The role entails a travel requirement of approximately 15%, which will involve visiting client sites or attending industry events as necessary. This travel is essential for building relationships with clients and ensuring that projects are executed effectively in various environments.
Your Role
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources. Workplace type may vary based on location and team requirements. Please speak with your recruiter for details. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.

Your Role
- Design and deploy networking infrastructure defined by software with Nutanix Flow Virtual Networking.
- Design and deploy network and application tier segmentation strategies with Nutanix Flow Micro-segmentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between virtual and physical infrastructures.
- Configure and manage network policies, security frameworks, and compliance systems in production environments.
- Optimize virtualization platforms and support workload migrations with minimal downtime.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior consultants and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
- Enhance customer engagement and consultancy skills through regular communication and stakeholder management.
- Set and achieve measurable goals for SDN and virtualization projects in the first year to drive team success.
- 10+ years of experience in data centre virtualization and SDN solutions.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts including VLANs, routing, NAT, VPNs, BGP, and firewalls.
- Hands-on experience with at least one SDN platform (VMware NSX, Nutanix Flow, Cisco ACI).
- Proven experience in network technologies such as ingress/egress, firewalls, proxies, load balancers, subnet overlay and dynamic routing.
- Proven expertise in micro segmentation and Zero Trust architecture design.
- Working knowledge of hypervisors (VMware ESXi, Nutanix AHV, or Hyper-V).
- Strong troubleshooting skills using CLI, API, and network analysis tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize software-defined networking environments.
- Cisco CCNA or equivalent certification as well as VMware VCP-NV or equivalent.
- Excellent consulting, customer engagement, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent discipline.
