Chief Technology Officer | €140k

We’re looking for a hands-on, visionary CTO to lead a high-performing tech team, drive innovation, and shape the future of a fast-growing Accounts Payable automation SaaS business trusted by hundreds of organisations across the UK and Ireland.

This is not a big-corporate CTO role. It’s suited to someone who has grown up in smaller or mid-sized technology businesses, where pragmatism, speed, and ownership matter just as much as strategy.

The business is transforming how finance teams manage supplier invoices using AI, automation, and cloud-native technology, eliminating manual processes and giving customers full visibility and control over invoice workflows. With strong market traction and ambitious growth plans, this is a genuine opportunity to make a lasting impact.

What You’ll Own

• Technology Strategy & Roadmap – Set and deliver a cloud-first, scalable technology strategy aligned to product and commercial goals.
• Azure Platform Leadership – Own and evolve the Microsoft Azure environment, ensuring security, performance, resilience, and scalability.
• Engineering Leadership – Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing, hands-on engineering team across distributed locations.
• Product & Architecture Oversight – Drive strong system architecture, development standards, CI/CD pipelines, and platform scalability.
• Innovation & Automation – Leverage AI and automation to deliver tangible customer and business value.
• Senior Stakeholder Partnership – Work closely with founders, executives, and product leaders to turn business priorities into technical outcomes.
• Governance & Security – Ensure robust security, reliability, and compliance (including ISO27001) without unnecessary complexity.

What You Bring

• 10+ years in senior technology leadership, ideally within small to mid-sized SaaS or product-led businesses
• Strong, hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (this is essential!)
• Deep understanding of modern software architecture, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps practices
• Proven experience scaling platforms and teams in high-growth environments
• A pragmatic mindset — comfortable rolling up your sleeves where needed
• Commercial awareness and the ability to balance technical excellence with business realities
• Clear, confident communicator who can work closely with non-technical stakeholders
• Must be Dublin-based with full right to work and no sponsorship required.
