Software Developer – Java

Location: Zwolle (Hybrid)

Contract: 12‑month initial contract

We are looking for an experienced Java Software Developer to join a collaborative engineering team based in Zwolle. This is a 12‑month initial assignment with hybrid working, combining on‑site collaboration with remote flexibility.

The Role

As a Java Developer, you’ll work on the development and improvement of robust, scalable software solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with other developers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high‑quality applications in an Agile/DevOps environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java‑based applications
• Contribute to improving code quality, performance, and maintainability
• Work collaboratively within an Agile/DevOps team
• Support CI/CD processes and continuous improvement initiatives
• Participate in technical discussions and solution design

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with Java development
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum / DevOps environments
• Solid understanding of modern software development practices
• Strong communication skills and a team‑focused mindset

Nice to Have

• Experience with modern frameworks and cloud or container platforms
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
