People Development Specialist

Are you passionate about fostering a culture of continuous learning and development? MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company is seeking for a dynamic People Development Specialist to join our HR Team

The position will be based at MSC’s Head Office in Geneva.

In this role, you will:

• Assess Training Needs: Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements across the organization in collaboration with local entities.
• Develop Training Programs: Implement effective learning strategies and programs, including e-learning courses, workshops, train-the-trainers, and other types of training sessions.
• Facilitate Training: Deliver training sessions and facilitate learning modules to ensure employees gain the necessary skills and knowledge.
• Evaluate Training Effectiveness: Measure the impact of training programs through follow-up studies and feedback to ensure they meet organizational goals.
• Manage Learning Management Systems (LMS): Coordinate all pre- and post-program activities within the LMS, including tracking completion records and analysing trends.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with various departments, subject matter experts, and external vendors to design, develop, and deliver high-impact learning solutions.
• Maintain Training Records: Keep an updated curriculum database and training records to ensure all training activities are documented
• Handling internal audits: managing training data for Sustainability/CSRD reporting/ISO audits
• Stay Updated: Keep up to date with the latest developments in learning and development to incorporate new methods and technologies into training programs.

Your profile:

• 5-7 years in a learning and development role with instructional design and delivery experience in an international environment
• Instructional Design: Create engaging and effective training programs.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills - English: C2 level ; Other languages : minimum C1 level in Italian and French.
• Analytical Skills: Assess training needs and evaluate program effectiveness
• Project Management: Manage multiple projects and coordinate efforts across teams
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with training design software, AI tools, and Learning Management Systems
• Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy in training development and delivery
• Collaboration: Work effectively with managers, subject matter experts, and external vendors
