Back End Developer

The Health Impact Alliance is dedicated to transforming the accessibility and utilization of health data through collaboration. Focused on enhancing senior living and fostering informed lifestyle choices. We’re building a global Healthcare IoT platform that helps seniors live safely at home—connecting smart devices (wearables, BPM devices, pill dispensers, door locks, ...) with mobile apps and cloud services. By leveraging data, we strive to create impactful change in healthcare systems and the lives of those we serve.

Backend Developer (Mid–Senior)

Healthcare IoT | Java / .NET | AWS | Remote / Hybrid

We’re looking for a Backend Developer to design and build the core services that power our platform and shape how the product behaves at scale.

Your focus

• Design and build backend services and APIs
• Implement business logic, data models, and integrations
• Work with cloud-native systems on AWS
• Collaborate closely with DevOps and mobile engineers
• Optionally expand into mobile development (Flutter) over time
• For the future we see a series of data and AI models to implement in our platform

This role is for you if you…

• Enjoy building product logic and system behavior
• Have experience with Java and/or .NET Core
• Care about scalability, performance, and clean architecture
• Value learning and impact over rigid role boundaries

You won’t be responsible for running infrastructure — a dedicated DevOps role owns the platform.

We have our development office in Stockholm, but are collaborating with teams both in the US and in Asia. Work on site in Stockholm preferably, but also a remote/hybrid role would work after onboarding.
