Mobile Software Developer

Role Overview

This position involves developing and supporting mobile applications for iOS and Android within a secure digital identity environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, and ongoing improvement of a Digital Credential Wallet solution while working as part of an agile team.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.

Contribute to the design and enhancement of a digital wallet solution.

Support secure credential storage and presentation features within the application.

Collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs and external systems.

Monitor application performance and resolve technical issues.

Apply updates, security improvements, and system enhancements as required.

Participate in agile team activities including planning and review sessions.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation.

Required Experience

Mobile Development

Experience building mobile applications for iOS and/or Android.

Experience using Swift, Objective-C, Java, Kotlin, or React Native.

Understanding of mobile application architecture, data handling, and security fundamentals.

Experience releasing applications to public app stores.

Experience integrating device features such as camera or Bluetooth.

Exposure to continuous integration or automated build processes.

Identity and Security

Understanding of digital identity or credential-based solutions.

Experience working with secure authentication and token-based systems.

Knowledge of REST-based services and secure API integration.

Familiarity with mobile security concepts and encryption practices.

Backend and Integration

Experience working with Java or Node.js.

Experience integrating mobile applications with backend services.

Exposure to cloud-based or containerized environments is an asset.

Team and Communication

Experience working within agile delivery teams.

Ability to document technical solutions clearly.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage priorities.

Preferred

Experience in public sector or regulated environments.

Experience working on digital wallet or identity-related projects.

Familiarity with recognized digital identity standards.
