Position Overview
The Project Coordinator supports real estate capital projects and workplace initiatives within the Project Planning & Development team. This role blends project management fundamentals with architectural and design expertise to assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of facility renovations, build-outs, space planning, and infrastructure improvements across corporate and operational properties.
The ideal candidate has a background in architectural design, construction documentation, and project coordination, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, facilities, real estate, and external vendor teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end coordination of real estate and facilities capital projects from conceptual design through construction closeout.
- Assist in space planning, layout development, and review of architectural drawings, construction documents, and design specifications.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, landlords, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and budget.
- Track project schedules, milestones, budgets, and deliverables; provide regular status reporting to project managers and leadership.
- Review design submittals, shop drawings, and change orders for completeness and compliance with company standards.
- Support procurement processes including bid documentation, vendor coordination, and contract administration.
- Participate in site walks, design reviews, and construction progress meetings.
- Ensure adherence to building codes, safety standards, ADA requirements, and corporate real estate guidelines.
- Maintain project documentation including RFIs, meeting minutes, schedules, and project files.
- Assist with workplace strategy initiatives including space utilization studies and facility optimization projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, Real Estate Development, or related field.
- 2–5+ years of experience supporting architectural, construction, or facilities-related projects.
- Understanding of architectural drawings, floor plans, and construction documentation.
- Knowledge of project management principles (schedule tracking, budgeting, risk mitigation).
- Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders in a corporate or utility environment preferred.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar tools is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
