Network Engineer

Basic Qualifications

• Clearance Eligibility: Ability to obtain a DoD security
  
  

clearance (U.S. citizen only).

• Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of OSI/TCP
  
  

IP models; Layer 2 (VLANs, ARP, CDP, trunking) and

Layer 3 (IP addressing, routing) concepts.

• Experience: Minimum 3 years planning, building,
  
  

installing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure.

• Cisco Expertise: Hands on experience configuring Cisco
  
  

switches and routers via CLI.

• Problem Solving: Proven ability to diagnose network
  
  

outages and restore service promptly.

• Certification: Must possess or be able to obtain a
  
  

cybersecurity certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+).

• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal
  
  

communication abilities.

• Experience with encryption devices and COMSEC.

• Experience with Cisco switching devices such as 3850,
  
  

9300 and Nexus switching platforms.

• Experience with Palo Alto firewall platforms.
• Experience in the application of DISA (Defense Information
  
  

Systems Agency) STIG (Security Technical Implementation

Guides) settings to network computing infrastructure.

• Familiarity with IP telephony and integration into existing IP
  
  

network infrastructure.

• System and network experience with Microsoft Windows
  
  

and Linux.
