DevOps Engineer

Roles and responsibilities.

• Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Build and maintain continuous integration and delivery pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or equivalent.
• Cloud Services: Manage cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) including networking, security, and monitoring.
• Containerization: Develop and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring efficient orchestration and scaling.
• Monitoring & Logging: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc.) to ensure the health and performance of production environments.
• Automation: Automate routine tasks and configuration management processes using scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.
• Security: Ensure system security by implementing best practices in cloud infrastructure, automation, and deployment pipelines.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth and reliable software releases.
• Incident Management: Participate in incident response and troubleshooting, ensuring fast recovery and root cause analysis for production issues.

Technologies and Experience

• Experience: 4-7 years of experience in DevOps, Systems Administration, or related fields.
• Cloud Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• IaC Tools: Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• CI/CD: Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and related tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Containers & Orchestration: Expertise in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Go.
• Version Control: Strong knowledge of Git, branching strategies, and GitOps methodologies.
• Monitoring & Logging: Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and logging systems (ELK Stack, Splunk).
• Security: Experience with cloud security best practices, vulnerability assessments, and mitigation strategies.
• Problem-solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems under pressure.
• Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
