Security Engineer (m/f/d)

A leading Belgian organization are currently seeking a Security Engineer to strengthen their vulnerability management capabilities and support the enhancement of their security posture.

Responsibilities:

• Support the deployment and configuration of the organization’s vulnerability management platform across diverse environments.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including runbooks, operational guidelines, and procedures.
• Establish structured processes for agent deployment, vulnerability scanning, validation of findings, and remediation follow‑up.
• Configure dashboards and reporting tailored to multiple stakeholder groups, ensuring alignment with asset groups and environments.
• Deliver training and knowledge transfer to operational teams on results interpretation and vulnerability handling.
• Oversee the handover to operational teams and document final configurations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Professional experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, or infrastructure security.
• Demonstrable hands‑on experience with Qualys or a similar vulnerability management solution (implementation + daily operations).
• Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows & Linux) and foundational network/security concepts (including firewalling).
• Practical knowledge of hybrid and cloud environments and their associated security practices.
• Experience analyzing technical findings, validating vulnerabilities, and supporting remediation processes.
• Familiarity with regulated environments or compliance frameworks (ISO standards, cybersecurity directives, etc.) is an advantage.
