About the Company
Unicorn Machine is a venture studio that builds and scales B2B SaaS startups from scratch. We do not invest in external startups. We incubate, build, validate with customers, and scale our own products from zero to product market fit.
We operate in fast cycles. We ship, test, learn, and adjust. Our edge is execution speed combined with strong product judgment.
About the Role
As a Product Developer at Unicorn Machine, you are a software engineer with product ownership. You work directly with founders and product leads to turn ambiguous ideas into shipped products.
You will operate across multiple startups, meaning multiple codebases, shifting priorities, and tight feedback loops from real users. You are expected to make decisions, not wait for perfect specifications.
What You Will Do
- Decipher and Prioritize (Strategy)
- You take a vague idea and define the Minimum Viable Product. You decide what is essential to solve the problem now and what can wait.
Build to Validate (Execution)
You do not get stuck in analysis paralysis or over-engineering. You translate the prioritized scope into working software immediately. You focus on speed to market, building the zero-to-one version so we can put a real URL in front of customers.
Filter the Noise (Iteration)
Once the product is live, you analyze the influx of feedback. You distinguish between nice-to-have requests and critical must-have signals that drive growth. You ignore distractions and focus on what moves outcomes.
Architect for Flexibility
You build software that is robust enough to work, but flexible enough to pivot. You understand that in an early-stage environment, the ability to change the code matters more than perfect architecture.
Own the Outcome
You do not wait for permission to fix a UX flow, change copy, improve performance, or simplify logic. If it removes friction for the user and improves business results, you take initiative and execute.
What We Are Looking For
- Builders, Not Just Coders
- You have a portfolio of things you have built (side projects, startups, tools) where you made product decisions, not only technical ones.
Commercial Awareness
You understand why we are building something. You care about how the software affects the user’s wallet and the company’s bottom line.
Ruthless Prioritization
You are comfortable cutting the scope. You know how to say no to complexity to ship faster.
Full Stack Autonomy
You can handle the database, the API, and the frontend. You are self-sufficient and able to deliver end-to-end.
High Tolerance for Ambiguity
You thrive when the path is not clear. You use logic and intuition to fill in the blanks and move forward.
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Startup or venture studio experience
- Experience shipping zero-to-one products
- Typescript/React experience
- Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure) and production operations mindset
- Experience with analytics, experimentation, or growth-driven product development
What We Offer
- Competitive salary aligned with Tallinn market benchmarks
- Generous employee stock program
- Relocation support to Tallinn
- Hybrid work setup
- Hands-on work across multiple startups with varied users and problem spaces
- High ownership and direct influence on product direction and outcomes
