Embedded Software Engineer – C++ / Embedded Linux

We’re working with a specialised technology company recognised for its rigorous engineering standards, and they are looking for a Software Engineer to work on development of resilient embedded systems.

This global organization is a leader in mission-critical R&D, investing heavily in the integrity and security of next-generation digital platforms.

In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of object-oriented software within a hardened embedded Linux landscape. This position sits at the forefront of innovation, where you will conduct deep-dive defect analysis and execute complex integration cycles to meet stringent product approval standards. Beyond internal development, you will act as a key technical liaison across distributed agile teams, ensuring that secure coding practices and architectural requirements align with the highest global compliance and safety-critical benchmarks.

This is a permanent position based on-site in Stuttgart, Germany.

This is a full time 12 month AuG contract, which may get extended.

I am interested in speaking to specialists with the following:

• Academic degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or Electrical Engineering.
• Technical Mastery: Strong, hands-on command of C and C++ within embedded Linux environments.
• Scripting Proficiency: Practical experience with Python for automation or integration tasks.
• Security Focus: Proven experience developing software in safety-critical or highly regulated environments.
• Full Lifecycle Capability: Skilled in analyzing, debugging, and testing software for complex product integration.
• Language Skills: Negotiation-level German and proficiency in English.
