Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support a highly technical R&D environment focused on embedded and operating system–level development.
In this role, you will facilitate agile processes within a cross-functional engineering team and ensure smooth collaboration across software, firmware, architecture, testing, and release domains. The position requires a strong technical understanding of embedded systems and the ability to coordinate complex dependencies in a structured and delivery-oriented manner.
You will act as a servant leader, enabling the team to perform at its highest level while maintaining transparency, focus, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate all core Scrum events and ensure effective execution
- Remove impediments, particularly cross-team technical dependencies
- Support backlog refinement and clarify technically complex work items
- Coach the team on agile principles and best practices
- Promote transparency through meaningful progress metrics and flow tracking
- Coordinate closely with architecture, firmware, testing, and release teams
- Shield the team from disruptions and ensure focused delivery
- Drive continuous process improvement and early risk identification
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in technically complex environments
- Strong background supporting software development teams, ideally in embedded or OS-level domains
- Solid understanding of low-level software development processes
- Experience working across hardware, software, and testing interfaces
- SAFe Scrum Master certification (required)
- Additional advanced Scrum certifications are a plus
- Strong communication skills in English (fluent required)
- German language skills are considered an advantage

Requirements
Professional Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience supporting software development teams
- Proven track record as a Scrum Master in technically complex environments
- Experience working in embedded systems or operating system–level development environments
- Strong understanding of cross-functional coordination between software, firmware, hardware, testing, and architecture teams
- Experience managing technical dependencies across multiple engineering domains
- Solid understanding of low-level software development processes (e.g., drivers, protocols, real-time systems)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines in embedded environments (build systems, automated testing, integration cycles)
- Ability to interpret and support technically complex backlog items
- Experience working within scaled agile frameworks (preferably SAFe)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or a related technical discipline
- SAFe Scrum Master certification (mandatory)
- Advanced Scrum Master certifications (strong advantage)
- Agile Leadership experience
- English – fluent (mandatory)
- German – nice to have
- Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills
- Structured and solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to operate confidently in highly technical discussions
- High level of ownership and proactive communication
- Strong stakeholder management skills
