The mission of Sleep Coach in Fitbit is to leverage Google's core AI capabilities to provide an accurate, connected, simple, and personalised solution to ultimately trigger behaviour change and sustainably improve the quality of sleep over time. The overall goal is to increase user sleep health.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement advanced features for Sleep Coach in Fitbit iOS app, which is a future Google Health experience.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and back-end engineers to refine the user experience and resolve cross-functional technical challenges.
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
