Penetration Tester

Working As a Penetration Tester, You Will

• Ensure that internally and externally developed applications meet the highest security standards
• Perform penetration tests of APIs, mobile applications, and web applications
• Support the organization and prioritization of security reviews
• Consult and collaborate with product and development teams in the area of application security
• Assist in developing automated security testing solutions to validate secure coding best practices
• Conduct security reviews and audits to verify proper configuration and access rights in third-party applications
• Monitor remediation activities to ensure vulnerabilities are closed and risks are eliminated or mitigated
• Execute the annual penetration testing plan and perform ad hoc tests for updated or newly implemented systems

Qualifications

• Proven background in security research with strong knowledge of common application attack vectors and vulnerability patterns
• Ability to effectively manage workload and align security activities with development timelines
• In-depth understanding of security risks affecting web applications and APIs
• Practical experience in performing penetration tests on web applications and APIs using both manual techniques and specialized tools, not limited to automated scanners
• Good grasp of cryptographic concepts and authentication protocols
• Hands-on familiarity with tools such as Burp Suite, SQLMap, Kali Linux/BackTrack, and w3af
• Foundational experience in assessing the security of mobile applications
• Basic proficiency in scripting for security testing or task automation
• Understanding of static and/or dynamic source code analysis techniques
• Familiarity with OWASP frameworks, recommendations, and best practices
• Exposure to Google Cloud environments will be considered a plus
• Ability to conduct penetration testing on mobile devices will be an advantage
