One of our leading banking clients is looking for an experienced Telecom & Cloud Network Engineer to support a large-scale Contact Center cloud transformation initiative. This role will focus on migrating an existing on-prem Avaya Contact Center to Cisco WebEx Cloud Calling / Genesys (CCaaS) within a complex enterprise environment.
Job Title- Telecom & Cloud Network Engineer – Contact Center Transformation (Contract)
Location: 2201 Eglinton Ave E, Toronto
Hybrid: 2 days onsite (Tuesday is mandatory)
Contract Duration: ASAP – August 28, 2026
Bill Rate: $82 per hour on INC.+ HST
Project Overview
This role supports an active Avaya → Cisco WebEx / Genesys Contact Center migration. The successful candidate will play a key role in solution evaluation, network and telecom design, SIP trunking strategy, and cloud connectivity for CCaaS platforms.

Typical Day in the Role
- Design and validate network solutions between CCaaS cloud platforms, contact centers, and remote agents
- Design and validate SIP call routing across Telco SIP trunks, on-prem PBX systems, and Cisco WebEx cloud
- Build and maintain lab environments for Proof of Concept (PoC)
- Contribute to migration planning, methodology, and process development
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement resolutions
- Maintain inventory, update production documentation, and ensure accuracy
- Create and present HLD, LLD, and Security Design Documents (SDD) to Architecture Review Boards
- Collaborate cross-functionally while meeting aggressive delivery timelines
Must-Have Skills
- 10+ years of experience as a Network Engineer in large, complex enterprise environments
- 5+ years hands-on experience with SIP protocol, call routing, dial plans, Telco SIP trunking (BYOC), Oracle SBC, Oracle ECB, and HMR
- 3+ years of experience with CCaaS cloud connectivity models (MPLS, SD-WAN, WebRTC, QoS) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
- 3+ years leading Avaya Contact Center to CCaaS migrations in large enterprises (1000+ agents, 100+ call flows, multi-region)
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Scripting or automation for provisioning, monitoring, RCA, and reporting
- Experience contributing to business cases and cost-benefit analysis
