Job Title: SWIFT Payments Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced SWIFT Payments Engineer with strong expertise in international payments, SWIFT messaging standards, and SWIFT Alliance platforms. The role focuses on supporting, enhancing, and modernising SWIFT-based payment flows across cross-border and correspondent banking channels, ensuring high availability, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support SWIFT-based international payment solutions (cross-border payments, correspondent banking, treasury flows).
• Work extensively with SWIFT message formats including MT and ISO 20022 MX messages.
• Provide deep application-level support for SWIFT payment systems, including incident resolution, problem management, and root cause analysis.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot SWIFT Alliance Gateway (SAG) and SWIFT Alliance Access (SAA).
• Ensure secure and compliant SWIFT connectivity, including certificate management, RMA, and security controls.
• Collaborate with business, operations, and upstream/downstream systems to ensure seamless end-to-end payment processing.
• Support regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements related to international payments.
• Participate in production support, change, and release activities for SWIFT payment applications.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Payments domain, with a focus on international / cross-border payments.
• Hands-on knowledge of SWIFT message standards:
• MT (e.g., MT103, MT202, MT940, MT950)
• ISO 20022 MX messages (e.g., pacs, cams)
• Proven experience with SWIFT Alliance Access (SAA) and SWIFT Alliance Gateway (SAG).
• Solid application support knowledge for SWIFT payment systems in production environments.
• Experience working with payment processing engines and core banking integration.
• Understanding of SWIFT security controls, RMA, PKI, and compliance requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
