Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDSE)

Experience: 2–4 Years

Location: India (Relocation to Dubai Required)

About the Role

We are hiring a Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDSE) — this is not a regular backend or frontend role.

This role sits between:

• Software Engineer
• Systems Thinker
• Client-Facing Product Engineer
• AI-Enabled Builder

We are looking for someone who can think clearly, solve real business problems, and build complete solutions end-to-end.

The candidate can be based in India initially but must be open to relocating to Dubai.

What This Role Really Means

This is for engineers who:

• Do not just write code based on instructions
• Can understand business problems and convert them into technical solutions
• Can build both frontend and backend (full-stack)
• Can work directly with clients when needed
• Can use AI tools in practical ways inside products

This is a high-ownership role.

Key Responsibilities

1️⃣ Build End-to-End Solutions

• Design and develop complete features (frontend + backend)
• Take ownership from idea to production
• Ensure systems work smoothly at scale (millions of users)

2️⃣ Work on Scalable Systems

• Build systems that can handle very high traffic
• Understand database choices (SQL vs NoSQL)
• Improve system speed and reduce delays
• Handle performance and scaling challenges

3️⃣ Strong Problem Solving

• Break down complex problems into simple steps
• Make logical assumptions and think in a structured way
• Handle ambiguous requirements confidently

4️⃣ Product & User Thinking

• Think about user experience while building features
• Reduce unnecessary API calls
• Improve frontend-backend coordination
• Build smart validations and efficient flows

5️⃣ AI-Enabled Engineering

• Use Generative AI / LLMs inside product workflows
• Think how AI can reduce infrastructure cost
• Improve user experience using AI
• Understand risks and limitations of AI in production

This is an AI-first product engineering role.

6️⃣ Client-Facing Work

• Work with enterprise clients when needed
• Understand unclear business requirements
• Convert business problems into technical solutions
• Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

What We Are Looking For

Experience

• 2–4 years of software development experience
• Strong hands-on coding experience
• Experience in building scalable applications

Technical Skills

• Full-stack development experience (frontend + backend)
• Good understanding of system design basics
• Understanding of distributed systems concepts
• Knowledge of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)
• Basic understanding of DevOps concepts
• Testing knowledge is a plus

Strong Must-Have Traits

• Structured thinking and logical approach
• Strong communication skills

• Comfortable with ambiguity
• Product thinking mindset
• AI awareness and practical usage

Educational Background

• Strong academic background preferred
• Graduates from IITs and NITs highly preferred

Location & Relocation

• Initial location: India
• Candidate must be open to relocating to Dubai
