As a Business Analyst, you augment a high-profile team of business analysts, solution architects and developers working on a strategic project to design and build multiple line of business models to enable global Commercial Insurance underwriters to assess and price policies on a e2e UWR platform. You will engage with business stakeholders to analyse and define business requirements, end to end processes and translate these into solution/IT requirements ensuring their implementation at highest quality. You have a sound knowledge in both IT and the insurance industry and a vast interest to deepen your domain knowledge in the Commercial Insurance business.

Overview of the team

The project team currently consists of five BAs, which needs to be augmented to assist in delivering the scope of the project in 2026. There are project managers, developers and testers assigned to the project. The wider platform team consists of more IT delivery teams all working in parallel on delivery projects and BAU.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

➢ Understanding business objectives and business specifics (e.g. on processes, guidelines, products) to validate business requirements and to ensure alignment with strategic priorities

➢ Conducting requirement elicitation and specification sessions with subject matter experts and end users

➢ Provide expertise and understand as-is and to-be processes as part of requirements elicitation

➢ Creating functional solution concepts and IT requirement specifications

➢ Applying agreed design and work principles

➢ Providing input regarding solution alternatives and engaging in workshops across teams and in combined BA / Architect / Developer sessions

➢ Owning assigned topics end-to-end including related dependencies, scope and timeline targets, quality and testing

➢ Support testing and input to change management and training activities

➢ Supporting the stream lead in planning, backlog management and implementation dependencies

➢ Participating in post implementation activities including system documentation completion and production support

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience (5+ years) as hands-on business analyst or subject matter expert in global transformation projects at strategic level with a clear solution and delivery mindset

➢ Proven experience in agile delivery environment, feeling comfortable in complex global project setups and being able to work under pressure in a multi-vendor and multi-cultural team

➢ Sound experience in capturing complex business requirements, translating them into abstract concepts, then detailed functional IT requirements and ultimately targeted input materials for testing and user training

➢ Very strong problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills

➢ Very strong ownership & proactivity

➢ Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

➢ Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure

➢ Great communicator with a collaborative mindset

➢ A bachelor’s or master’s degree or comparable qualification preferably in IT, business information or equivalent

➢ Balanced mix of business acumen and technology savviness

➢ Proficient English language skills, written and spoken
