About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced UI/React Developer to join our talented development team on a full-time basis. This role is based in Austin, TX, with an initial onsite requirement from day one, operating in a hybrid work environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced user interfaces that are both visually appealing and highly functional. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and backend developers to translate wireframes and prototypes into seamless, pixel-perfect web applications. Your expertise in JavaScript and ReactJS will be instrumental in creating scalable and maintainable codebases that enhance user experience across platforms.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should possess a strong portfolio showcasing interactive UI projects and a deep understanding of JavaScript and ReactJS. Expert-level knowledge of JavaScript, including asynchronous programming, closures, ES6+ features, and types, is essential. You should have extensive hands-on experience hand-coding CSS, HTML, and JavaScript without relying heavily on frameworks, demonstrating your ability to craft pixel-perfect, responsive designs. Familiarity with web accessibility standards and best practices is required, ensuring that applications are inclusive for all users. Proficiency with version control systems such as Git, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently are also critical. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is necessary. Nice-to-have skills include contributions to open-source projects, experience with TypeScript, familiarity with state management tools like Redux or MobX, and prior experience in senior or lead roles guiding junior developers.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain sophisticated UI functionalities, translating design mockups into fully functional interfaces with pixel-perfect precision. Write clean, efficient, and reusable JavaScript code, primarily utilizing ReactJS for various applications and platforms. Hand-code CSS and HTML to accurately reflect visual designs, ensuring consistency across different browsers and devices. Follow semantic HTML practices and accessibility standards to create inclusive user experiences. Operate independently once objectives are defined, proactively identifying and resolving issues to meet project deadlines. Employ functional programming techniques and behavioral design patterns to develop scalable, maintainable, and high-performance codebases. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and backend developers, to understand project requirements and deliver optimal solutions. Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in UI/UX design and development, continuously enhancing the quality and usability of the products.
