Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Freelance Network Engineer based in Cologne. The individual in this role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network systems that ensure optimal connectivity and performance. Daily responsibilities include network troubleshooting, identifying and resolving technical issues, securing networks, and configuring hardware and software. The role also requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to design and implement effective network solutions tailored to organizational needs.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Network Engineering and Network Administration, including the ability to manage and maintain complex network infrastructures.
• Strong skills in Network Troubleshooting and issue resolution in a timely and efficient manner.
• Experience in Network Security, ensuring safe and protected data transmission, and safeguarding against vulnerabilities.
• Competence in Network Design, including architecture planning and implementing scalable solutions.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP or equivalent are a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with diverse teams in a professional, on-site environment.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German is an advantage.
