NodeJS Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Node.js Developer to join our growing team in Toronto. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable backend services, APIs, and high-performance applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain robust software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services
• Work with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Implement security and data protection best practices
• Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps, and QA teams
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Node.js development
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+)
• Experience with frameworks such as Express.js or NestJS
• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming
• Experience with RESTful API design
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with TypeScript
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Familiarity with Kubernetes
• Knowledge of GraphQL
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
