Our client, a fast‑growing firm in the digital asset and capital markets space, is seeking Junior Java Developers to join their expanding technology team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to end‑to‑end platform development across both digital payment token (crypto) and traditional financial products.
About the Role
As a Junior Java Developer, you will help design, build, and enhance systems that support the full trade lifecycle across digital assets and derivatives. You will collaborate closely with Trading, Structuring, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and external technology partners to deliver scalable, secure, and regulatory‑aligned solutions.
The role also includes integration work with external exchanges, wallets, market access platforms, and vendor systems.
In addition, the team is expanding its infrastructure to support traditional asset classes including FX, fixed income, equities, and commodities - offering broad exposure beyond digital assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement Java‑based systems that support end‑to‑end workflows for crypto and digital asset derivatives.
- Integrate with external exchanges, wallet providers, market‑access platforms, and vendor systems.
- Support and enhance connectivity modules such as:
- EMS/OMS and position management systems
- Exchange/wallet connectivity and risk management layers
- Client and account management systems
- KYC/AML integration layers
- Derivatives risk tools and related vendor solutions
- Work cross‑functionally to drive platform improvements, operational efficiency, and innovation.
- Maintain strong documentation standards and contribute to testing, deployment, and ongoing enhancements.
- Operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of hands‑on experience in software development or IT engineering within financial services, fintech, or technology providers supporting financial institutions.
- Proficiency in Java development; experience in systems architecture, requirements definition, testing, and implementation.
- Familiarity with digital asset products, crypto exchanges, crypto wallets, or a strong interest in the space.
- Exposure to cloud-based development environments.
- Strong analytical, coding, and communication skills.
- Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed.
- High standards of integrity and commitment to regulatory‑aligned development.
- Experience managing external vendors is a plus.
- Singapore-based role.
Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)
- Knowledge of banking, securities, or insurance system workflows.
- Experience with perpetual swaps or centralized exchange (CEX) environments.
- Understanding of derivatives or options.
- Background in platform/library development for digital asset services.
- Experience in system integration, new platform build‑outs, or vendor system implementation.
- Project management experience across multiple stakeholder groups.
