>>About the Digital Government Advisory Team
KPMG India’s Digital Government Advisory (DGA) practice helps government bodies modernize public services through technology. It offers strategic consulting, digital architecture, and sector-specific solutions across areas like transport, water, justice, and finance. The team enables large-scale e-Governance, data analytics, and automation to improve efficiency and citizen experience.
>>About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager/Project Lead with 6–10 years of experience to oversee and deliver large-scale IT and digital transformation projects in Leh/Ladakh. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in government IT programs, strong stakeholder management capabilities, and an understanding of emerging technologies. This role requires end-to-end project ownership—from planning to execution and closure—ensuring alignment with government standards and timelines.
>>Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, plan, execute, and deliver large-scale IT/digital transformation projects within defined timelines and quality benchmarks.
- Utilize project management tools and Agile methodologies for complete project lifecycle management.
- Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams, including liaison activities with government and external stakeholders.
- Drive procurement processes, including RFP creation, bid management, and vendor coordination.
- Conduct requirement gathering, analysis, and documentation; translate them into actionable deliverables.
- Prepare and manage technical documentation:
- BRD, FRS, SRS
- User stories, use cases
- Wireframes, process flows
- UAT plans and test cases
- Project reports, presentations, and user manuals
- Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Develop dashboards, MIS reports, and data-driven insights to support decision-making and governance.
- Provide strategic inputs on emerging technologies such as AI/ML, Data Analytics, IoT, Blockchain, and modern architectures like microservices.
- Ensure adherence to government IT policies, standards, guidelines, and compliance frameworks.
>>Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 6–10 years of experience in IT project management and business analysis.
- Demonstrated success in managing government IT projects end-to-end.
- Strong understanding of project governance, documentation, and PM methodologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Strong stakeholder management experience, especially with government bodies.
>>Preferred Skills:
Experience working on IT initiatives in Union Territories, especially in website/application development.
Exposure to AI/ML, Data Analytics, IoT, Blockchain, and microservices-based architecture.
Hands-on experience with PM tools such as Jira, MS Project, Trello, or similar.
Understanding of procurement policies, RFP processes, and government tendering systems.
