Mobile Engineer

Role: Senior Mobile Engineer

Location: remote EU with UK time zone

We are looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer with deep React Native expertise and a strong interest in AI-driven development, working closely with product and design teams to build a modern, scalable mobile experience.

Responsabilities:

• Build and enhance the ITV News mobile app (with potential supporting website work)
• Deliver high-quality, scalable React Native components
• Contribute to a video-first mobile news experience
• ITVX development
• Video player development (a 3rd-party solution will be used)

Requirements:

• Strong React Native development experience (including TypeScript)
• Familiarity with Expo and mobile build & deployment processes (iOS / Android)
• Experience with component-based UI design and state management in React
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and asynchronous data fetching
• Confident debugging, refactoring, and code navigation using VS Code and AI-assisted tooling such as GitHub Copilot
• 3rd-party SDKs (e.g. StoryTeller)
• Fluent in English
• European citizenship

The activity will be performed remotely following the UK time zone.
