Senior Software Engineer - Go

We’re hiring a senior individual contributor backend engineer to work on the core systems of a high‑impact software platform operating in a live, production‑critical environment.

This role is for experienced engineers who enjoy building robust distributed systems, thinking deeply about system behaviour, and taking responsibility for how software performs in the real world - not just how it looks on a diagram.

The Role

You’ll be working on the core backend of a complex platform where software correctness matters and production behaviour has real consequences. Engineers own problems end‑to‑end: from design and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and iteration in production.

There’s no traditional product management layer. Engineers work directly with stakeholders, define their own work, and are trusted to make sound technical decisions under real constraints.

Technology

• Backend services primarily in Go
• Python used for data‑heavy or analytical components
• Event‑driven and asynchronous systems
• Cloud‑hosted infrastructure (AWS)
• Modern observability and monitoring tooling

(Exact stack matters less than strong systems thinking and production experience.)

How the Team Works

• Small, low‑hierarchy engineering team
• Minimal process - strong emphasis on judgement and ownership
• Frequent deployments (often multiple per day)
