Design Engineer

I’m currently supporting a market-leading data centre delivery partner who is expanding their design team on one of Europe’s most significant hyperscale developments.

They are working on a 40 MW data centre in Espoo, split across 4 individual 10 MW campuses. This is a long-term Google Data Centre project, already 18 months into delivery, with an estimated 2.5–3 years of work remaining.

📍 Design office is located in central Helsinki

🏗️ Project site based on the western side of Helsinki (Espoo)

They are now seeking Design Engineers to join the team and support the delivery of high-quality, coordinated design solutions across the full project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

🔹 Supporting design development from concept to commissioning

🔹 Producing and reviewing drawings, calculations & specifications

🔹 Working closely with internal design and BIM teams

🔹 Supporting Technical Submittals, RFIs, and design documentation

🔹 Participating in coordination meetings and workshops

🔹 Ensuring designs meet quality, safety & environmental standards

Ideal profile:

✔ 2–5 years’ experience as a Design Engineer (construction/consultancy/contracting)

✔ Exposure to large-scale projects—data centres, industrial, pharma or commercial

✔ Strong understanding of design coordination & construction methodologies

✔ Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM tools (advantageous)

✔ Proactive, detail-driven, and strong communicator
