Senior Java Developer (Angular/Java, Full-Stack)

Salary: Up to 6000 EUR gross (depending on seniority and integration/architecture experience)

Project: a greenfield national-level integration platform project.

Strategic Staffing Solutions International (S3I) client is a technology-driven company with 10+ years of experience in custom IT system development, specializing in complex system integrations and data exchange platforms. The company builds modern, scalable web-based solutions and values clean code, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

The company is building a new modular, containerized system from scratch to replace outdated infrastructure with a scalable, integration-driven architecture. The platform will integrate with numerous Latvian government systems (e-services, payments, e-signature, etc.) and operate within a secure national data center (LVRTC).

Your Role

We are looking for a Senior-level Java Developer who can take ownership, drive technical decisions, and help build a modular system architecture. This is a 50/50 full-stack role — currently even slightly frontend-heavy.

You will:

• Design and develop modular backend services using Java 17
• Build and maintain Angular frontend applications
• Work with map-based interfaces (Leaflet) and geographic data layers
• Integrate with multiple external government systems (100+ institutions)
• Participate in architectural decisions around containerization and orchestration
• Contribute to integration platform configuration and service governance
• Collaborate closely with designers (Carbon Design System)
• Ensure responsive UI across desktop and mobile devices
• Help define logging, service switching, invocation frequency and integration monitoring

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Java development
• Experience with Java 17 (or modern LTS versions)
• Strong understanding of modular architecture
• Experience with containerization (Docker)
• Kubernetes / OpenShift experience
• Experience integrating multiple external systems
• Understanding of authentication/authorization (Keycloak or similar)
• Experience with integration platforms (WSO2 or equivalent)
• Angular frontend development experience
• Ability to work independently and take technical ownership
