Project Manager

Location : Luxembourg

Start date : ASAP

Contract : 6 months (extension possible up to 1 year)


A major European financial institution is seeking an experienced Project Manager to provide temporary support to its Business Strategy and Project Management division. In this role, you will drive project planning, delivery and monitoring, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and managing change across teams, processes and tool adoption.


Key Accountabilities :

  • Lead full project lifecycles, from initiation through closure, using both traditional and Lean-Agile methodologies.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and requirements throughout all project phases.
  • Define project charters and business cases (scope, benefits, budget, timeline, resources).
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, issues and dependencies in collaboration with involved teams.
  • Adapt to changes in project scope, time or budget, ensuring effective change management.
  • Provide regular status reports and updates to the Project Management Office.
  • Collaborate with the change management team to support successful adoption of changes impacting people, processes and tools.
  • Foster team collaboration, resolve conflicts and coordinate with external consultants.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement in project management practices.


Profile :

  • Advanced university degree and minimum 3 years’ project management experience in financial services or consulting, using traditional and/or Lean-Agile methodologies.
  • Proven track record of managing projects end-to-end and coordinating third-party engagements.
  • Excellent command of English; strong analytical, organisational and presentation skills.
  • Proficient with MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Copilot.
  • Experience in public procurement and running tenders is an asset.
  • Certifications in project and change management (e.g. PMI, Prince2, SCRUM, PROSCI) are a plus.

  • Practical Information :

    • Assignment contract through a temporary staffing agency.
    • Place of work : Luxembourg, with possibility of up to 2 days remote work/week from Luxembourg or border region (conditions apply).
