The role

You’ll be joining the backend engineering team, working on the core of the platform. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, improving existing systems, and contributing to architectural decisions that influence how the product grows.

The role suits a backend-focused engineer who understands how infrastructure and code quality shape product behaviour and user experience.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing, building, and improving backend services using .NET and C#
• Working on performance, scalability, and platform-level improvements
• Solving complex technical problems that sit at the heart of the product
• Contributing to architectural discussions and long-term technical direction
• Writing clean, well-tested, maintainable code
• Collaborating closely with a senior, experienced engineering team

What you bring

• 4+ years of professional experience with .NET and C#
• Strong fundamentals in C#, including algorithms and recursion (this is genuinely important for the work here)
• Experience building and consuming Web APIs (ASP.NET)
• Solid database experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL
• Experience working in cloud environments (Azure or AWS)
• Familiarity with containerised systems and ideally Kubernetes
• A solid grounding in software engineering principles and best practices
