We are now looking for a Network Engineer!

In this role you will be part of our Network Services unit who are responsible for the network and security services for our production systems as well as for our corporate administrative systems. This includes the network architecture in wide area networks, local area networks, datacenters, firewalls and secure access solutions.

Requirements

As a Network Engineer your role is to lead, plan and execute Network Services for the daily and future operations of SSC Global Network including security solutions for customer missions as well as for SSC’s internal business needs. All solutions are built on a well-defined, global, and maintainable network architecture, with a strong focus on operational excellence and scalability.

A key responsibility of the role is to ensure customer network solutions are delivered according to plan and with high quality.

Your Main Tasks

  • Implement services to customers or SSC group and handover complete documentation to the Network Team and SSC operations. This requires also close collaboration with customer technical team and carriers
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance across all SSC projects, both internal and customer-facing.
  • Support SSC divisions with solutions to customers.
  • Lead and execute internal Network Services activities or projects.
  • Perform production changes.
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement network security controls, segmentation, and monitoring.
  • Ensure all Network Services systems and services are thoroughly documented and maintained.
  • Lead/Participating in advanced Network Services troubleshooting as required.
  • Oversee and participate in preventive maintenance activities for network services.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and technical guidance to Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams.

Responsibilities

Your role:

  • We believe you have a technical university degree or corresponding experience.
  • You have a minimum of five years’ work experience as Network Engineer within medium to large corporations.
  • You have at least the experience of CCNP.
  • You are well familiar with Cisco products such as routers, switches, access points, firewalls.
  • You are well familiar with Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama.
  • You have good knowledge in routing protocols (BGP), switching, IP/VPN and MPLS.
  • You are fluent in English.
  • Merit if you have experience in Cisco SDWAN, Cisco ISE, Cisco wireless.
  • A Cisco Academy program or similar education is a merit.

You are able to work in a high availability environment and handle situations where things need to be solved quickly and professionally. You are comfortable taking a technical lead when necessary.

LOCATION & PRACTICAL INFORMATION

This is permanent position with 40 hours/week, located in Solna, Stockholm. It's a hybrid workplace where we work from the office in Solna around three days per week. The role includes participation in a 24/7 on call rotation.
