At the Proteomics Sciences division, former Olink Proteomics, we are transforming the understanding of human diseases through advanced protein biomarker discovery. With our innovative Olink solutions – including highly specific and validated assays that cover more than 5,000 proteins – our colleagues and technology empower scientists in groundbreaking research that will play a pivotal role in the future of personalized medicine.
Job Specific Information:
We are currently seeking a Data Scientist for our Data Science Development team at Olink. Our Data Scientists are responsible for developing custom analysis tools and methods to enable data driven innovation and decisions. The team is involved in both product and process development and is responsible for data related product design decisions, data analysis and reporting, method and tool development etc. Their goal is to ensure good study design, appropriate analytical methods and data driven decisions in all steps leading to high quality products and processes.

We are currently seeking a Data Scientist for our Data Science Development team at Olink. Our Data Scientists are responsible for developing custom analysis tools and methods to enable data driven innovation and decisions. The team is involved in both product and process development and is responsible for data related product design decisions, data analysis and reporting, method and tool development etc. Their goal is to ensure good study design, appropriate analytical methods and data driven decisions in all steps leading to high quality products and processes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop methods and tools for data analysis for external and internal use using predefined guidelines or procedures.
- Engage in the creation of modern bioinformatic and data analytics solutions.
- Development of methods to support our products throughout the product life cycle using predefined guidelines or procedures.
- Assist in quality control and troubleshooting of data issues.
- Monitoring and analysis of QC parameters to ensure quality in products and processes.
- Create clear and actionable data visualizations and reports for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with other data scientists, data engineers, and domain experts in cross-functional project teams
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data pipelines, analytical tools, and best practices
- MSc in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Molecular Biology or similar
- 1+ year of relevant industry experience building production-quality code, applications, or pipelines
- Solid programming skills in languages such as R or Python
- Experience in applying statistical methods in medical or biological research, especially with data from high throughput technologies in proteomics and genomics
- Analytical mind and an interest in modern statistical and data analysis methods including machine learning
- Full professional proficiency in English
- Experience in R package development, Git and shiny development is an advantage
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS) is an advantage
- Experience from data engineering and/or building modern data analysis environments is an advantage
- Ability to work across different teams and subject areas
- Demonstrated strong communication skills, both oral and written
