What are the main responsibilities of the Data Scientist?

• Design and develop machine learning models to address business needs such as prediction, segmentation, personalization, and risk analytics,
• Lead LLM-based use cases including prompt engineering design and decision-making on fine-tuning strategies,
• Evaluate trade-offs between prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and RAG-based approaches for different business needs,
• Establish and maintain an LLM evaluation framework to measure output quality, business relevance, consistency, and regulatory compliance,
• Develop data-driven solutions for customer interaction analysis, intelligent classification, and automated content generation use cases,
• Perform exploratory data analysis and generate actionable insights to support strategic decision-making,
• Collaborate closely with other business units to translate analytical findings into scalable AI solutions,
• Continuously monitor model performance and propose optimization strategies,
• Stay up to date with developments in machine learning, LLM technologies, and AI methodologies, and proactively suggest innovative applications aligned with the Bank’s strategy.

What kind of knowledge and expertise should the Data Scientist have?

• Graduated from a reputable university with a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields,
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Data Science or Machine Learning roles,
• Practical experience with LLMs and prompt engineering, experience with fine-tuning techniques is considered an asset,
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based systems in production environments is strongly preferred,
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and modern ML libraries,
• Experience in developing and validating machine learning models,
• Experience in model evaluation methodologies and metric design,
• Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and communication skills,
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams,
• Experience in financial services or other regulated industries is considered an asset.
