Job Title: Data Analyst
Location: Cracow, Poland (5–6x a month in the office)

About the Team
Group Functions, part of the Data Analytics Office (DAO), comprises Data, Reporting & MI professionals. The team’s mission is to provide precise, timely, and insightful Data and Management Information to the Risk & Compliance and Finance functions.
Leveraging cutting-edge data architecture integrated into the organization’s broader data fabric, the team enables Risk, Compliance, and Finance professionals to focus on comprehensive risk management and regulatory obligations.
The team consistently delivers value across Risk, Compliance, and Finance Data, MI, and Reporting, aligned with Business Data, Architecture, and Technology strategies, as well as Group standards. Services support regulatory compliance (e.g., BCBS 239 and Basel III Reforms) for Risk and Compliance processes, covering Data Management, Quality and Controls, and an MI & Reporting function delivering reports and dashboard solutions.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Data Analyst who can effectively bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This role requires a naturally curious individual who is comfortable exploring data and skilled at translating complex concepts into clear, actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and delivered effectively.
- Analyze business processes, datasets, and systems to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Lead or support the development of automated data lineage solutions to enhance visibility, governance, and traceability across data pipelines.
- Apply generative AI and advanced analytics techniques to automate workflows, extract insights, and improve decision-making.
- Gather, validate, and document business and data requirements for new initiatives and enhancements.
- Translate technical designs, data concepts, and analytical outputs into business-friendly language.
- Investigate data quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with technical teams to implement corrective actions.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support stakeholder decision-making.
- Continuously explore new data sources, tools, and products to uncover additional value opportunities.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Solid, relevant experience in a similar Data Analyst role.
- Knowledge of BCBS 239 is desirable.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Strong understanding of complex data architectures.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure within tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with an open and collaborative approach in international teams.
- Familiarity with data management tools such as Collibra, Apache Atlas, and Qlik Sense is an advantage.
