About the Role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer (Node.js / NestJS – Architecture Focus) to design and develop scalable backend services with strong architectural ownership.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building clean backend foundations, designing scalable systems, and owning backend architecture decisions across APIs, databases, and event-driven services.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop backend services using Node.js and NestJS
• Design scalable backend architecture and contribute to long-term platform foundations
• Build and maintain REST / GraphQL APIs
• Design and maintain backend modules, service layers, and integrations
• Work with databases such as PostgreSQL (or similar relational databases)
• Work with message brokers and event-driven patterns for asynchronous processing
• Ensure backend performance, reliability, security, and maintainability

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with Node.js and NestJS
• Strong backend architecture and system design skills
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL or similar databases
• Experience building scalable APIs (REST and/or GraphQL)
• Experience with event-driven systems and asynchronous workflows
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, production-ready backend code

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Go or Python
• Knowledge of distributed systems and scalability patterns
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, and cloud environments
• Experience working with microservices or modular monolith architectures
• Strong debugging, monitoring, and performance tuning skills
