Senior Golang Developer

On behalf of our client a fast-growing FinTech company modernizing payment infrastructure and financial data management for small and medium-sized businesses across Norway. Our platform processes high transaction volumes daily and integrates with banking systems, compliance frameworks, and accounting solutions across the Nordic market.

As we scale, we’re investing in secure, high-performance backend systems built with scalability and reliability at their core. We are now looking for a skilled Golang developer to strengthen our engineering team and help shape the next phase of our growth.

The Role

As a Senior Golang Developer, you will design and build scalable backend services that power our core financial platform. You will work closely with product managers, DevOps engineers, and frontend developers to deliver robust, secure, and high-performing systems.

Strong Norwegian language skills are highly valued, as you will collaborate with local stakeholders and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Go (Golang)
• Design scalable microservices and RESTful APIs
• Optimize performance and ensure system reliability
• Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure
• Ensure security and compliance best practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience
• Strong production experience with Golang
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices
• Familiarity with Docker and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Strong understanding of API security and performance optimization
• Professional proficiency in English
• Norwegian language skills (written and spoken) strongly preferred

Compensation

• Competitive salary up to 800,000 NOK per year (gross) depending on experience
