Job Description: Front-End Developer

Work Type: Hybrid (2–3 days onsite)

Duration: 6 months Contract with high possibility of Extension

Role Overview

Lead the architecture and evolution of the microfrontend platform for Bell.ca, enabling domain-based feature teams to deliver independently. Define standards for shell app coordination, shared libraries, routing, and runtime integrations. Design and implement mechanisms for shared state management, version control, and safe rollout of microfrontends. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to senior frontend engineers. Collaborate with Platform teams to ensure seamless CI/CD pipelines and observability. Work closely with Product, Design, and Content stakeholders to ensure a consistent user experience. Represent frontend technical leadership across cross-functional initiatives.

Essential Skills

Must-Have:

• 8+ years of experience building modern frontend applications at scale
• Deep expertise with frameworks like React (Next.js, Remix)
• Strong experience with microfrontend architectures and tooling
• Strong understanding of performance, security, accessibility, and responsive design
• Experience with distributed monorepo or federated repo setups
• Ability to balance centralized platform standards with team autonomy
• Strong communication skills to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Good-to-Have:

• Familiarity with Turborepo
• Experience integrating backend-for-frontend (BFF) layers
• Experience with GraphQL APIs and/or edge functions
• Contributions to platform-level SDKs or shared component frameworks
