Who You’ll Work With

You will be a part of the larger Global Technology organization working on Nike’s internal product creation tools and report to the team’s Engineering Manager or Director. You will work day-to-day with a team of talented and driven engineers, the team’s Product Manager and Principal Engineers in the organization on software projects to achieve Nike’s business objectives. You will also engage with other Global Technology functions and teams on organizational and technical goals.

Who We Are Looking For

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Entry-Level Software Engineer who is eager to learn and grow while contributing to Nike’s mission of delivering cutting-edge tools for our Consumer Product & Innovation community. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in software engineering principles, gained through academic projects and internships, ready to collaborate in a fast-paced environment, and eager and able to learn new technology and problem spaces quickly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, design patterns)
  • Familiarity with modern software architecture principles (REST, microservices, domain-driven design)
  • Exposure to building web applications using frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js
  • Basic knowledge of cloud concepts and services (AWS preferred)
  • Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD, test-driven development, and infrastructure as code (through coursework or internships)
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as Cypress, Mocha, Jasmine, or Jest (academic or internship projects)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Internship or academic project experience with APIs, event-driven systems, or cloud-based solutions is a plus
  • Interest in AI/ML and data-driven solutions is a bonus

What You’ll Work On

You will be part of a team of engineers building out tooling for our Enterprise facing Consumer Product & Innovation applications that are part of Nike’s Merchandising domain. We are investing in building modular, configurable and “API-First” capabilities which will be consumed by modern web applications built with the most recent component-based UI libraries like React.
