The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
RTX anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted. However, factors such as candidate flow and business necessity may require RTX to shorten or extend the application window.

This is a remote role.
What You Will Do
- As a UX/UI Design Intern, you will be responsible for transforming complex user needs into intuitive, pixel-perfect digital experiences through a mix of hands-on research, iterative wireframing, and high-fidelity visual design.
- Throughout this internship, you will gain practical experience in navigating the end-to-end design lifecycle, learning how to balance user-centricity with business objectives and technical feasibility in a professional environment.
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62 .
- Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
- Design Portfolio: A digital portfolio showcasing projects that demonstrate your design process, from initial research and sketches to high-fidelity mockups.
- Technical Proficiency: Foundational knowledge of industry-standard design tools, specifically Figma.
- User-Centric Mindset: An understanding of UX principles, including user research methodologies, information architecture, and usability testing.
- Visual Design Skills: An eye for typography, color theory, layout, and a commitment to maintaining visual consistency within a design system.
- Communication & Collaboration: The ability to articulate your design decisions clearly and a willingness to iterate based on feedback from peers and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: A curious and analytical approach to identifying user pain points and creating elegant, functional solutions.
- Design System Knowledge: Understanding of design system concepts, including working with reusable components, style libraries, and maintaining visual consistency across multiple screens.
