Role Purpose
The Business Analyst is responsible for delivering client outcomes by analyzing business needs, identifying process and system improvements, and coordinating project implementation to meet KAHRAMAA’s strategic and operational objectives. The role acts as a critical interface between business units and IT, ensuring that requirements are accurately captured, documented, and translated into effective technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.
- Prepare comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRD) including functional and non-functional specifications.
- Develop functional and technical specification documentation.
- Capture and document As-Is processes, system data flows, and existing controls.
- Conduct data gap analysis and define To-Be processes, controls, and RACI matrices.
- Maintain and ensure adherence to the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).
- Perform detailed data mapping and data dictionary documentation.
- Translate business requirements into structured inputs for IT design and development teams.
Project & Workstream Leadership
- Lead workstreams for medium to large-scale projects with varying complexity.
- Coordinate cross-functional technical and managerial teams.
- Support project planning, tracking, and implementation activities.
- Provide clarification and ongoing communication of requirements to design and development teams.
- Contribute to solution validation, UAT coordination, and deployment readiness.
Stakeholder & Client Engagement
- Act as the IT interface between business units and technical teams.
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder discussions, and requirement sessions.
- Provide insights and recommendations when requirements are unclear or evolving.
- Build strong and lasting relationships with internal teams and external clients.
Required Competencies
- Strong command of English (Arabic bilingual preferred).
- Excellent documentation skills using MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint.
- High problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in complex and ambiguous environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Goal-driven with strong client-focus and delivery mindset.
- Flexible and adaptable to different engagement types and work environments.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Experience & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Experience
- Proven experience in IT Business Analysis as per organizational Skill Band requirements.
- Demonstrated experience managing software and business-oriented projects in complex environments.
- Experience within the Utilities Industry is highly preferred.
- Experience working in regulated or semi-government environments is advantageous.
Certifications (Preferred)
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent BA certification.
- Other relevant Business Analysis or Project Management certifications are a plus.
