Systematic PM

A sovereign wealth fund is looking for a systematic Portfolio Manager to lead their expansion into systematic trading.

The existing fund has a strong background in fund management and private equity. The PM would need to have experience building out a greenfield platform from platform engineering to strategy deployment.

The fund is committed to investing significant resources to this build-out, including extensive data, established quant analysts, and the full support of senior leadership.

The PM will be responsible for two portfolios and will have the flexibility to apply their desired systematic approach. The PM will also be tasked with launching a family of systematic strategies and funds, which are expected to scale.

This role is for an entrepreneurial, systematic PM with experience in single stock equities. Exposure to the EM equities, especially Gulf-region is desired, but exposure to EU or US equities is required.

Responsibilities

• Build the infrastructure of a greenfield systematic trading platform.
• Lead the strategic planning for the launch of a systematic trading platform.
• Own and manage the lifecycle of systematic strategies from ideation to live operation.
• Monitor performance, build and maintain dashboards, manage risk, and iterate on strategies.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience running systematic equity strategies.
• Experience building a greenfield trading platform.
• Must have experience with single stock US/ EU equity strategies. Ideally, also has experience with EM equities.
• Capacity to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong coding skills in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, R, Matlab and /or C++, C#.
